Assessment & Studio Expectations
Assessment
Student academic grades will be evaluated in the following areas:

Employability skills: Attitude, organization, practicing safe and respectful use and care of classroom materials, on task behaviors

Assessments: Successfully meeting criteria established for each completed art project, tests and quizzes

Daily Participation: Sketchbook assignments, participation in discussions, critiques, and art creation
Student work habits and effort grades are given at the end of each semester . Students will be evaluated in the following areas:

Art Studio Expectations
The rules of the art studio are designed to allow for a safe, creative, productive and fun learning environment. Following the 6 steps of an artist, students will be able to demonstrate their best work, show respect and be respected, extend the life of the art supplies, make productive use of their studio time and their imagination, remain safe, and create AMAZING MASTERPIECES that they should be very proud of.
